Anybody know what a xenon MODULE repair would cost if it were not covered 4yr/50K?

I had a passengerside unit 'fail' on thurs. Called and made an appoint for Sat.. they said it was not the bulb and it would need a module. So they ordered it and it should be in tuesday.. BUT, when the lights kicked on slightly before dark on fri, it worked fine - AS it did sat evening.

So, now its got me curious when (which if I understand correctly it eventually WILL) this thing fails after its out of 4year/50K, what would be the approximate cost?

Anybody ever seen this itemized on their warranty repair bill?

Sounds like a bad electrical connection, or the "ignitor" circuitry is going bad which does mean a new unit. I don't know for sure on the 335, but I do know for a fact that they are over $400 on many other cars. Without labor. Someone will know the cost for your car, be patient.

I remember a thread a while back where a guy was experimenting with his headlights and needed a replacement not covered under warranty. I don't remember the cost only that it struck me as something I would never want to pay out of pocket. I could only venture a wild guess at this time but it must have been pushing a grand for me to feel like I wouldn't want to pay. I could live with $400, so it must have been way more.
