Talking OMFG...Finally!!

So after waiting what felt like forever to get my car back, I finally was able to pick it up on Thursday night!!!

It took nearly 3 months (86 days to be exact), accident happened on 2-18, to fix the mess that happened in a split second because of some idiot not paying attention on the road. Well I got her back and I must say that she is looking better than ever!

Total time in shop: 86 days
Total cost of repairs on his insurance: $8,600
Total cost of 3 months of rental car on his insurance: $3,010
Total out of pocket expense on my part: $1075
Finally getting my car back and it looking better than it was to begin with: fu**ing awesome!!

I got them to paint and install the entire M-tech body kit. Total out of pocket for me after selling the extra rear bumper (they had already put one on when I got my kit in) was $1075 for parts, paint, and install!!

So over the past couple days I have put nearly 450 miles on my car driving it around and loving every minute of it! I decided to snap a few picks of the updated ride. Yes it is quite dirty, tomorrow will be the big cleaning day, but I thought I would share anyway.

I should also be recieving my check for "diminished value" in about a week.

Congrats on having your car back man. I bet the wait is killing ya. Seriously man I was on a business trip for 2 weeks driving some budget Suzuki hatchback rental car and I couldn't wait to get back to my E90. Nice mansion in the background..

It's my brothers 645ci with the AC Schnitzer package (interior and exterior), I took the pics at his place. It's a pretty sweet car but I still like mine better

Naw, I'm just going to keep it, I'll be getting a check in the mail for the "diminished value" in about a week anyway.

Yea, the guy did a number on the underside of the car, his car somewhat slid under mine. The estimated time was 26 days to finish when I first brought it in It definitely shouldnt have taken them 3 months but they did do a good job on fixing it up. Here a pic of the underside, they had to basically replace all of that:

I am surprised the car wasn't totalled. Looks like they did a great job restoring it though.
