328i Detailed: Chevy Tahoe
One of the cleanest cars I've seen, its an 01 and only has 28,000 miles on it. The owner is very meticulous about his car and only hand washes it, however there was still many swirls because of improper wash/dry techniques, which surprised me because of how hard the paint was. With m105 on purple wool I was able to finish off almost LSP ready, however going over it with 106ff brought the gloss to a whole new level.

Excellent! Did you do the roof too! I always under estimate the time I think it'll take to finish a truck like that... Definately a cut (pun intended) above the rest.
Why did you use jetseal instead of something more durable. I'm sure a truck like that isn't going to get waxed or detailed often? Jetseal lasts what? 3 months?

I used jetseal because I just picked some up and wanted to try it out. Durability won't be a problem as the owner babies this truck, it sits in the garage whenever it isn't being driven and gets waxed regularly. It has never seen snow or mud, and hasn't been in the rain very often.

How long did this take. My wife has a black 07 Tahoe that has hadnothing but washes. I keep putting it off because I know it will be an ALL DAY JOB!

Thanks guys.
Achenator, I did this over the span of 3 days, washing and claying and compound the first day. Final polish the second day, followed by an ONR wash to get rid of polish dust, and then I put on the first coat of jetseal. The third day I removed the jetseal and put on another coat and dressed all the trim, tires, cleaned the glass and did the interior. Working non stop it would probably be a day and a half of work, but the client was away for a couple of days so I had some extra time. They're large trucks though so setting aside some extra time is necessary.

On the plus side I heard the new GM black paint is very soft so removing defects should be easy, however finishing off perfectly might be a challenge. Definitely post up some pics when you get it done.
