Fake M2 convertible anyone?
I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet, but it seems someone got the bright idea to convert their M240i convertible into a pseudo M2:
http://www.autowereld.nl/bmw/2-serie...6472/foto.html Supposedly has "modified software" pushing it to 402hp. A used M2 would go for that kind of money over here...

I like it, but guessing what they'd have to charge for such a beastie, if it existed, I don't think I'd trade my m235i vert for it any time soon.

Exterior: ///M (Blue) brake calipers, Original M2 front and rear bumper, M2 wide rear fenders, carbon fiber M-performance side skirts / wings, M-performance wings front bumpert, M-performance carbon fiber spoiler, m-performance carbon mirrors, carbon kidneys The reason I don't like it that much is because it looks really strange from the side: The front looks messed up IMHO.

Not only is it a M2ish, convertible, but it's an xDrive too! I guess if you're going to fake it, you might as well fake a lot!

I wonder how much it would cost to swap out the rear fenders and diffuser, you'd have to add a quad exhaust too. Did anyone ever price it out? I assume it's far more than would be worth doing for most people. |

When I took my car in for its LSD, there was an “M328i” sedan in the service lane in front of me.
I don’t even call my 240 a real “M” car.

Most modern convertibles don't look right. They look like rolling bath tubs because of the high belt line and DOT safety requirements of wheel well to belt line height. IMO there hasn't been a good looking convertible BMW since the e36.
