will BMW NA back me up?

well as some of you know, I picked up my E93 in Montreal and shipped it down to Lebanon...
I'm still Canadian plated

now, let's say for whatever reason my dealership refuses to give me warranty work, are acting like jerk offs or whatever

do I complain to BMW Canada? or do I complain to BMW Middle East?
considering I am a BMW Canada customer, do I go back to them for any problems?

anyone have any experience with this?

also do all the perks like free oil changes still apply? or I'm SOL with that one...

I believe you are SOL with the free oil changes and any warranty work.

Warranty is only valid in North America, once the car leaves, then you would deal with the local BMW group and hopefully they will help you out when the time comes, but they have no obligation.

I was pretty sure that it was international regarding the warranty
my bro had no problem getting warranty work done when he shipped his car to germany from MTL

Honestly if you want the answer, call BMW NA and ask them the question. Don't waste your time here because unless one of the people who answers you has a) had the same experience and b) called BMW NA to find out how they should handle it, we're just feeding you misinformation. Just go to the source, at the end of the day it's what they think, not what we think.

Like others have said, call BMWNA and/or BMW Middle East and get information directly from the horse's mouth. I could see it going either way to tell you the truth, but let us know the result.

Now for my misinformation, as an attorney who studied International law with a specialization in Lebanese Law as it pertains to BMW warranties, I have to say that your warranty travels with you around the world, that is as long as you are taking your vehicle to an authorized BMW repair facilty...in Lebanon it might be difficult finding one that hasn't been bombed.

BMW NA will not be able to provide any assistance if you are not dealing with one of their dealers. Since you got the car in Canada, I´m confused why you are even mentinoing BMW of North America. Care to clarify how you are a BMW NA customer?

Regardless, the local importer in your new country will be your only resource and the only point of recourse; their policies are the ones which count. Regardless of where you are, you may possibly be covered by the international warranty, which is 24 months.

easier than you might think actually... and that's not really a funny joke... I wonder how you'd like the sound of detonation and constant gunfire throughout the night...

still don´t see your point as to why you see BMW of North America as your importer. Since it was delivered in Canada, it´s clearly not a BMW of North America car.

You got it mixed up.

"BMW North America" is the name of BMW in USA. For some reason they think only USA is in North America. Look at their website: http://bmwusa.com/

In Canada, we have "BMW Canada" - look http://bmw.ca/

What I think is startling is how twisted the western view of Lebanon is and how little most folks know about it... As far as most are concerned the entire country is one big dusty, bullet riddled, bombed out sand dune. No idea of it's historical significance or the mostly positive attitude towards westerners of it's people. We only get the bad stuff over here. Never a mention of the amazing scenery, tolerated Christianity, and OMG beautiful women and landscapes...

As an American it's hard to travel to a lot of the places I'd like to, our politics are such that just being from the States is enough to cause trouble... Shame too...

first you don´t have to be a dick by editing your posts with unnecessary nastiness and second, I didn´t withold anything, I just didn´t see why you would think bmw of north america would have anything to do with your car (how woudl I know you haven´t a clue how your car is imported)

Going back to the original question, have you had a problem servicing your car?
