Online entertainment trial
I signed up for the one month trial, does anyone know if I need to cancel it or does it just expire? I cant see anywhere to cancel it so guess I would have to ring up.
Not overly impressed, prefer Apple music. I thought having the ability to download music to the hard drive would be handy except that downloads are only possible via the car and is so slow if you spend most of your time out in the sticks. You'd think lifting music stored on a mobile or off one connected to wifi would be the ideal way to save things to the hard drive - apparently BMW didn't think of this. |

I think it's pretty good. You can search on the app on your phone, star tracks and they will download to the car as and when available.
That's with Deezer anyway. |

Yeah i love it, its so easy to make playlists on your phone, and then they just appear in the car. Takes like a second or so to download the tracks for me so i have no issues there, and obvs once they're downloaded they play instantly

I have Deezer, have downloaded several albums on the phone, what do you mean by star tracks? There's a heart next to albums and tracks. |

Thanks again, I've seen the favourites pop into the library but it doesn't start loading any songs until I play the album/playlist.
Sure it works well if you get a reasonable 3 or 4G signal but it takes forever to load a song on my way to work. Was worth the £1 for the trial but don't think I will continue at £160 for the year. |

However the quality of the sound always seemed better than the same track on the radio. Sure there is a good reason for this but being tech non savvy I don't know what it is. |

I too have the month trial for a whopping £1, will the albums/songs I have downloaded still play once the trial expires?

I didn't really spec it as such as it came with the Pro Media Plus pack but I'm a bit of a convert.
Songs start playing almost instantly and I also like the integration with DAB so that you can search on something / someone you've heard on the radio. EDIT: It's Deezer I'm talking about

Did anyone go the Napster Route? I seem to remember the option on first startup of either Napster or Deezer

I'm afraid when the trial is over all the downloads on your harddrive disappear. I was however still able to get the 3 month Deezer trial for 99p, not the same full functionality with the car but did find a way to convert the downloads to MP3's and have quite a full hard drive now.
