Hi!

I run iOS11 GM on my iPhone 7 and the BT connection with my 2014 M235i is very buggy!

First the informations on the screen don't update anymore and I cannot skip songs using iDrive. On top of that, the audio from Google Maps is not going through BT anymore....

This is my version of the software:

TN-003.003.001

Overall, over my almost 4 years of ownership, I have to say that this BT connection has always been a nightmare. With every iOS or phone update, the BMW wasn't compatible and I had to bring it to the dealership to get a NBT update...

I have similar issues and end up using usb more often. Amazon Music or Apple Music give me the least gripes. Do you have to pay for this NBT update?

Yes UBS works much better.

I did not have to pay to get the NBT update but had to basically force my dealership to do it. I had issues with BT last year and even though my media was update to date, the BT connection was unreliable. So I asked my dealership to do a NBT update which they refused at first because they couldn't verify my issues with the BT and thought the update wouldn't solve it. After multiple calls, they agreed to make an exception and updated NBT which pretty much solved my issues.

By chance do you have Do Not Disturb While Driving turned on?

NBT stands for "next big thing", and is a codename for the iDrive system.
