JB4 firmware updates?

My JB4 is from 2014. Are people here updating firmware? I do not have the USB cable but was thinking about the wireless bluetooth kit. Don't wan't to spend the dough if improvements are not worth it. Comments?

???

There have been plenty of firmware updates since 2014. They're on revision 15 now, the file is attached at the bottom of the first post:

Clip the diode inside your JB4 to make it flashable, get a cable or BT kit, and flash the latest FW. You'll notice more smoothness and linear boost buildup.

Thanks! I was wondering what that ISO stuff was about. I wish the info/FAQ page was a little clearer.

So I do like to tinker so ended up getting the Bluetooth connect kit and updating the firmware with that. I figured it was worth it to be able to play with it from my phone. The diode cut is not easy. I do not have a wire cutter for so small an area. Just used my solder iron to undo the one end of the diode. Rest of the install was easy except i got a check engine light and no boost right off the bat. I guess i took the previous jb4 plug n play for granted and didn't know i needed to plug in default settings. It was all good after that and was glad i didn't somehow botch the connect kit install. I wish there was a manual as the faq page is full of info but no step-by-step for newbs.

So worth it? Tough to say. Definitely smoother power. Easier than MyCarly to read codes. The gauges are neat to look at when you feel like. Has throttle sensitivity adjustment which acts like the Sprint Speedbooster. But it is $147 shipped for the Bluetooth connect kit, $28 for the iOS app.

Its cheaper to buy used, and the adaptability is worth it if you run custom stuff like meth or new turbos. I just have the USB cable and route it thru the firewall and glove box. The Bluetooth didnt seem worth it considering I'd use it like 10 times in its life. Its nice to have the steering wheel controls to turn up and be a sleeper.
