Space saver wheel

Stumbled across this space saver wheel below.

https://www.thewheelshop.co.uk/genui...cover-bag.html

Has anybody had any experience of this - wondering if it would fit over ms sport+ brake calipers?

I had 2 punctures last year on non RFT and was wondering if this would be a good back up. Appreciate it will take up room in boot - but after getting stuck with a puncture with no spare plus 3 year in back seat....this got me thinking.....

I have been informed by BMW that you cannot use a Space Saver on X Drive cars regardless if it physically fits or not! Something to do with being a difference profile and width which will throw up lots of errors regarding the 4 wheel drive system.

That's odd. How can I do 50 miles with it flat? Massive rolling diameter change and profile decrease.

Not massive at all, rft's have a rigid side wall so the rolling diameter stays fairly unchanged!

Not sure if it will fit but looking at the photo in the link you would need an adapter, in order for the Jack to fit the BMW jack point.

Just get yourself one of these and a tire repair kit.
