Improving performance on my f30

Hi can anyone recommend a good company regarding performance. I own a 1.8 diesel and was thinking of part ex for a golf r but love my f30 so much. I know i wouldnt gain that much power but just wanted some opinions prior to making a decision. Thanks

Hi loads of good remaps these days MoreBHP, DMS etc you can buy a tuning box with some good results for but me a remap is always king

Google MoreBHP etc and you're find some results,
lots of threads on here with people doing the same.

I think you'll find it's not a 1.8 but a 2.0 diesel .... It's the way BMW name the models. It's essentially a detuned 2.0, which can be improved quite a bit with a remap. Should be able to see around 220 bhp.

Try a bigger engined f30

Ps not trying to be a smart Alec here but just a thought as you're thinking of changing to a Gokf R and don't know the change up costs would compare to those of say a 335xd or a 330d - just a thought.

Well here is an interesting comparison. Photos might take time to load unless using the app.

A remap story from CazuaLLUK http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1300048

Less than 7 seconds to 60 is pretty good.

You could always consider contacting Pure Turbos to see what they have on offer.

Get it Remapped. I had mine done by Rick at Unicorn Motor Developments in Stockport, Bmw Specialist, Custom Remap carried out on rolling road.

A remap is the best way to help improve performance.

Have a word with Ant at AP Automotive in Telford, he does a lot of performance stuff for BMW
