16% off an M4 CP doesn't sound unreasonable to me; being realistic how much more discount do you think you'd get?

8k miles a year? Fat chance, what would be the point of having a belting car on your drive if you can hardly drive it? Crap deal if you ask me.

16% off an M4 is crap - who is offering significantly better than that at the moment then?!

I agree the finance isn't especially attractive but surely you just take it to get the additional discount and then pay it off (or reschedule with someone else to get a better deal if you don't happen to have £60k sitting around!).

I don't really care if anyone's offering a better deal or not but spending nearly 40k (assuming you go the finance route) on a car to be able to do, on average, 166 miles a week is crap. Anyone who buys one of those will want to drive it and 166 miles is more likely to be one spirited hoon on a Sunday morning - that's it.

I did 20k miles in my old Boxster in the first year alone for that very reason, the absolute fun of driving a pleasurable car. 8k miles a year, ridiculous.

The deal TRL did last year was certainly a very good one; however, that was then and the question is how would his current offer compare to the one posted by the OP? It may still be better but I suspect it wouldn't blow it out of the water!

Ok so this deal is very good and on par percentage wise with the deal that teaston posted last year, which some of us took advantage of.

http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1239538

However, I can't believe how much the M3/4 has gone up so this is quite a difference to last year!

The deal last year included options and came in at a RRP of £63325. Just been on BMWs website and an M3 competition pack DCT now starts at £64225.

Note the M4 is £500 more (as this thread is about an M4).

Easy solution, don't take the BMW finance then!

And actually, even if you do you can still do more than 8k miles/annum; just means you're faced with either an excess mileage bill if you hand the car back at the end of the term (which I suspect hardly anyone does) or you perhaps have more negative equity to lose on the deal for your next car if your monthly repayments have been set artificially low because the agreement didn't reflect your true likely mileage. Either way, though, you're not limited to driving only 8k miles/annum.

I'd also point out that looking at used M4's on the BMW website I can't see a single car that's averaged 20k miles/annum; there are however several that have averaged 8k so for some owners that mileage may not too ridiculous after all. You may argue that represents a criminal waste of a good car but that's a separate debate entirely!

ETA: Actually there is one car that's done 14k in 6 months so there is at least one owner that's made full use of their M4 (albeit not for very long!).

One consolation of them going up is it helps the 2nd hand value.
I went on we buy any car the other week and my car came out at about £45k which I was amazed at. Only lost about £8k in 15 months!
(but fair enough I did get it cheap through the TRL deal).

Paid around that much deposit on my 335xd - felt more comfortable with the lower monthlies and probably saved a bit of interest along the way.
