M2 CS DCT vs M2 6MT

To avoid argument, let's assume the M2CS will get the S55, a couple of extra colors and stitching choices. Which would you choose: M2 CS DCT only or M2 LCI 6MT? Feel free to comment on price, or whatever else, if that's a consideration in your decision.

I'm ready to purchase a M2 right now but I am waiting what is in store with the M2 CS before I do. If the M2 CS is DCT only than I will get the standard M2 with 6MT.

Also, I have a paid deposit with pricing in writing with number 1 slot for the M2 CS.

Still hoping the CS comes with an optional 6MT.

While it was originally assumed that the CS was only going to come in DCT, the rumor mill more recently has let on that hopes for a manual are not dead...

If we had to choose only one then I'd take the 6MT over S55 any day.
Maybe I'm getting old but the "Regular Plain Jane" M2 with the N55 is more than enough for me.

Agreed. I'll even take the 'regular' M2 if the CS does come with a manual as I expect that the 'regular' M2 would be no less fun to me (fun/enjoyable to drive being my priority), and because the S55 sounds like a fartbox.

Depends on the M2 CS and what upgrades it gets.
Transmission choice is extremely important but should not be the only factor.

Exactly. Prefer the manual, but there are many other things that could persuade me if that wasn't the case.

People on this board literally said they would rather drive a van than a sports car with a DCT. So there you go.

If you want to, I can add "M2 CS 6MT" as poll option. More realistic.

That was yesterday, today is different, think I said I would rather die than drive an auto, decided that may not be a good option!

What a crock. No doubt they're confused by anything more than a three-speed automatic on the column while they're out delivering pizzas.

Well FWIW I have a MT M2 and haven driven a friends DCT hard, in manual mode, I can safely say I will be ordering my CS as a DCT.

I happen to prefer the DCT. It's an incredible transmission. My vote was easy.
