It all depends on the dyno too.
I think that $75 t0 $100 for a dynojet is normal. Anything higher is robbery. Evosport charged me $130 and I can't believe I paid it.

75 for an hour is what I normally pay... you should contact M&M and see where he dynos his car, he is from RSA as well. I believe he is from Joburg. Don't know where you are located but he could probably give you a better answer than us americans can.

I was just curious what the rates are like in the US. I know M&M very well and we don't pay at the places we go. I think normal rate now is in the region of $50US. In South Africa Dynos are very common and in a radius of 50km there must be more than fifty dynos.

Paid $89 for three Dynojet pulls at LG Motorsports in Wylie, TX. Appears I may have overpaid compared to some.
Seemed reasonable after the shop where I got my Dinan stuff installed quoted me TWO HUNDRED for three pulls (major BS!!).

Dyno days around the metro Atlanta area are about $30-35 for three baseline pulls with WBO2 sniffer. Just making an appointment will be around $50-75. Any shop that charges over $75 for basic pulls (no tuning) is taking advantage of you or your car's user base.
Tuning ranges greatly. I paid around $125 out the door to tune my Supra from a decent limp-to-the-dyno map to solid tune, including welding a bung onto my downpipe for the instream WBO2. A friend paid nearly $400 to tune his CTSV with LS-Edit. I thought that was a major ripoff in comparison. |
