DetailedImage.com back up and running; special discount code inside

e90post members,

I wanted to throw up a quick post to let people know that DetailedImage.com is back up and running at full speed. I received numerous PMs and e-mails regarding how slow our site was loading for everyone and wanted to give a quick update on what happened and how we resolved the issue. One of our nameservers went down on Friday afternoon causing the site to respond very slowly. Last night we decided to pull the plug with our current host and switched to a fully managed dedicated server with guaranteed uptime, so downtime should be a thing of the past.

We feel horrible about what happened and deeply apologize for the inconvenience this caused for our valued customers. We had some customers actually stick out the slow speeds and place orders  , we greatly appreciate everyones support. For the next 30 days I want to extend a 15% off coupon code. During checkout use SpeedyDI to get 15% off instead of the standard 10% off for e90post members.

If you happened to place an online order between May 9th and May 14th before 11:30am, please PM me with your order number and a credit will be applied to your account to make up for the missing discount that is currently being offered. Again we greatly appreciate your patience and continued support.

Happy Detailing!

Kudos. Incredible professionalism, especially in extending a courtesy that shouldn't be expected under the circumstances.

Seems as though it can take a full 48 hours for the transfer of the site to completely propagate across all networks. Tomorrow afternoon should be the end of the 48 hours. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks for your support

Sweet deal! Thanks George! Just FYI, I was able to use PayPal to check out successfully, but on the 'review your information' page on PayPal, it seemed like the PayPal site wasn't able to get certain pages/info from the DI site. In place of the order info were messages like ... "Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'http://www.detailedimage.com/template/header.php'" and "Warning: include() [function.include]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /home/detimg/public_html/payments/GetExpressCheckoutDetails.php".

Seems like something might not be quite right yet with the new configuration. Hope this helps.

Remember it's all about the prep anyway, the LSP is just icing on the cake, and the difference between the high end stuff and good stuff like p21s 100%, souveran, CG signature wax, and CG 50/50, etc. is probably 5% at best.

I think picus nailed it with this quote, too many people think a high end wax will do miracles by itself.

Grab some CG 50/50 if you want a wax that looks a lot like Concorso, but is cheaper. It doesn't hold up as well, though.

Thanks for the update. We're still finding little bugs as the DI site was a big project to move over to the new server. I showed our programmer your message and he's looking into fixing this as we speak. Thanks again for your support and feedback, greatly appreciated!

Edit: Programmer found and fixed the problem you experienced. Thanks again for letting us know about the issue.
