New G20 3 Series revealed

So it looks like the new 3 Series will be revealed later this month at the Frankfurt motor show!

I'm very excited to see what my next car will look like, really hope it looks like this render!

Anyone else excited?

so new G20 will look like 5 and 7 series but smaller version of it where as I like current shapes which have their own shapes.

Mercs and bimmers making one car and rest of models follow same shape

I still like new G20 though .

Well I'm hoping they make it look more like an updated 4GC like the pic I posted, which could happen as there were strong rumours they won't make another 4GC.

I agree with you on that mate and I hope next G20 has pillarless door, I really like 4GC and 6GC .

My brother brought an M6 GC in frozen white contrast with Gloss black and man it looked stunning

It makes sense if you think about it, why have the two different models when they could just make the 3 series look more like a 4 door coupe with the shallower sloped rear window and shorter boot lid, like these renders:

I thought they sold more 4 GC than just 4's. If anything the 3 door will be dropped.

Any idea of the release date, I havw just put down a deposit on a 335d, 12-14 weeks wait, is it worth waiting a bit longer for this?

Was just about to ask the same thing. I'm guessing that it will be out at some point next year?

Historically the halo engines aren't released immediately. It was some months after the first F30s were on the road before the 335d became available. I think you'd find the wait for a G30 335d to be more than a year from now.

Yet for the 5 series the first engine available was the 540i. Harder to predict what they might do.

I'm not much of a fan of the Mercedes style 'fitted' exhaust though

Historically the M Sport isn't released immediately either, but it was available immediately on the new 5 series so who knows. But then the G30 has been out for about 6 months and still no 535d available.

It was the same when the F3x came out. Initially the top petrol/diesel engines were the 335i and 330d, these were available from launch of the F30 in 2012.

The 335d didn't come out until July 2013. I remember when I ordered my last 335d in Aug 2013 there were no demos whatsoever as it had only just been released.

I think the 335d has been replaced by the 340d in the G20 but I have no idea if it will be available from launch

I think it's already confirmed that xdrive M Sports will have M Sport suspension, so no need for ACS springs anymore! Poor Lorcan might have to sell one of his yachts!
