Best oil for 2015 LCI 330D

Hi Guys,

Any recommendations for the best oil top up for my F30 330D?

First time I'm putting it in so want ensure it's the right one!

I've read at that any 5W30 is correct?

Thanks in advance!

Any 5W30 oil will be fine as long as its fully synthetic to LL-04 spec or better

I bought 5 litres of Shell (cant remember which type but it was to LL-04 spec) for 35 quid from carparts4less delivered. No need to spend silly money at BMW on BMW branded oil as long as you use the correct spec, especially for a top up

Cheers thanks - So 5W30 LL-04 is the best.

Any particular brands I should use?

Any branded oil will be adequate as per the spec given by the previous poster.

I prefer to stick to Millers oil. A British company who have been very helpful when I have contacted them and do loads of research.
Also they seem to do 5L still while others have dropped to 4L and kept the price the same.
