Request: MG with Black Exhaust tips
Hey all, does anyone have any pictures of a MG M2 (pre-LCI or LCI) with black exhaust tips? Mine arrives in October and would love to see some pictures before I take the plunge.
Thanks! EDIT: These were the ones I was thinking of getting: https://www.amazon.com/IND-Exhaust-T.../dp/B01KB00OG8 If anyone has suggestions for a different brand, I'd love to hear it.

You can find a cheaper one at discount hardware stores. You will need to prop up the inside of the exhaust to use this, in my case the tip of a ratchet tool. I tried the wood method but the wood did not last from the beating of the hammer. - Lightly sand the tips with 600 grit sand paper. So primer with adhere when you apply. - Use a high heat primer paint - https://www.amazon.com/VHT-SP100-Fla...t+primer+paint - To prevent overspray. I sprayed multiple thin coats (3) evenly with 30 min in between and waited a full day before spraying the actual color. - I used an older high heat engine paint can I had laying around. But you can get a variety of colors in your local auto store or amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003CT4AKC...504132232&sr=1 - I did as many coats on the final paint without over spraying. I pretty much used the whole can. I waited another day to make sure its super dry and was careful reinstalling it. But it worked out and the paint seems very tough after it dried. I was going to go for after market exhaust tips. But the crazy prices did not make sense to me and some of them are obnoxiously big in diameter and protrudes out too much from the bumper that possibly could easily burn someones leg if not aware of it. |
