Renault Clio Service

The wife's clio is 2 years old next month and she was going to put it in for a service, the local renault garage quoting her £275 which she thought sounded expensive. Car only does 5k miles per annum.

Any alternatives or best to stick with renault garage for warranty and FSH?

I would until the end of the warranty, then I would go independant.

Agree with NFS...but try shopping around other Renault garages. Even so, if its the first service for 2 years it isn't so bad....

It did get a service last year but there wasn't much involved with that, this time I guess they are doing more.

Garry, haven't you any approved Renault franchised dealers near you. We have Dixon's (I know the group has gone, but the guy who bought the 'business' is from Hull & kept the Hull branches going). Point is a girlfriend at work found them cheaper for servicing her Clio than the main Renault dealer, but with the same benefits regarding warranty etc. just a thought.

probably not, we're at the back end of scotland so choice can be limited, nearest dealer after this one is 1 hour drive so by the time you factor in fuel, hassle etc savings would be marginal
