M Performance Splitter
Question for anyone who has the carbon M Performance splitter, how much lower does it make the front end on a car with standard m sport suspension? I've ordered it for my F33 and am now starting to get worried I won't get over a speedbump! I'm guessing that's not the case but wanted to check with people who have it

It does make it low at the front. If you have an xdrive your suspension will be higher than a non xdrive.
I have an xdrive which is also an M Sport with a Carbon Splitter. I haven't lowered the car because i scraped the splitter about 3 times when i first got the car. I haven't done it since as i have been very careful. Just watch out for: Dips in the road High pavements when driving the car into a parking spot (try and reverse in a spot instead) Slow right down when approaching a speed bump Try and avoid multi story car parks If you are going down a very steep decent slow down when the road levels out But you should be ok, go for it !

My F32 is getting swapped for a F33 on Friday, it'll be the new car that has the splitter on and from what you say it'll be low, especially as there's no x-drive to raise it up on the regular M Sport suspension. But given I'm not, and won't be, lowered sounds like it'll be ok. I'll definitely be reversing into spaces - I can imagine the expensive crunching noise if i get the distance wrong going forward! |
