GRID Demo for 360 BMW 320i race edition

Anyone played this yet?

I downloaded it for free and it was pretty cool. Somewhat like Forza2 but more "cartoony" and forgiving in the car handling. Plus the in-car view is sick! you can easily slide the car around corners, pieces of it fall off if you get into accidents, and people scream when you hit the barriers, OH and the barrier tires go everywhere when you crash into it.
Oh, and the 3 series is too... blacklines, race exhaust (siiick), good lookin wheels and a kit. check it out.

This game is 10x better than Forza 2!!!
The damage model puts Forza 2 to shame.

I agree about the damage models. But I'm not a fan of the car handling in the game. And there are so many more cars to pick from in Forza. I still like Forza 2 better.

I tried the demo last night....it's fun! The San Francisco track is pretty cool.

I tried the demo. I think it sucks ass, and I really wanted this game to be good.

It's even more arcady than PGR, which makes the controls feel very awkward. The game tries to be realistic in a tiny sort of way, and it throws me off completely. Don't try correcting a slide, don't try throttle steering. They don't do anything except mess your line up.

On the bright side, the graphics are nice.

Still, Forza and PGR sh*t all over this. Forza 2 controls so well...it's hard to like another racing game as much...though I wouldn't mind having GT5 too.

Oh, and by arcady I mean the cars go 0-60 in like a half a second. Watch the speedo it's hilarious.

This game is 100x worse than Forza2 - the physics model is appalling.

I agree on the damage front though.
