Haha I know it's not a jumbo jet... but I'm shocked at the weight for a 3 series saloon 👍

The 330d is 1615kg so the 335d is 5.5% heavier and 23% more powerful

No, dunno where you got that from.

Look on BMWs website.......

330d sdrive 1615kg
330d xdrive 1690kg
335d xdrive 1705kg

So the difference between a 330d sdrive and 335d is 90kg.

Scales faulty. No chance the car weigh less than BMW official figures, they will be light as possible surely!?

BMW quoted EU unladen weight figures are for standard equipment, 90% fuel filling, 68kg driver and 7kg luggage, according to BMW data. Options are added to the standard unladen weight.

Any car weighed "as is" will vary from published figures, can do by some margin.

Fair enough just re read and I missed rob bit where the OP said he got out. Bit of a difference that would make.

Did it tell you what the weight distribution was by any chance?

From comparing models where we know the unladen weight and the weight distribution, I estimate it is something like 53/47, or worse.

As a guide, a 340i xDrive saloon is 52.8/47.2

I think it's pretty impressive that's it's any lighter than an E46 convertible considering the size and all the equipment and safety features in the F30, not to mention the 4wd system and diesel engine plus two turbos, an 8 speed auto gearbox & huge brakes!

Apologies, googled it, first link with easily accessible Kerb weight was:
https://www.auto-data.net/en/?f=showCar&car_id=17737

It did say 2012-2015, so perhaps the weight is correct for pre-LCI?
They did get the 1705Kg for the 335d right however...

The front diff is 75kg so I guess the other 15kg is the extra turbo and bigger brakes.
