430d tuning box options

Hi guys,

Thinking of getting a tuning box for my 430d convertible, seen a few discussions on a number of boxes but unsure which way to go.

Also what's the effect on mpg? Does it make much of a difference?

I think some have got it for Â£1000, my local stealer was doing an offer for Â£750 I think, gutted I didn't get it then.

Not sure if that was fitted though.

I did go for a dtuk box in the end and it’s great very happy with the results ☺️

Not long fitted a Steinbauer tuning box (similar to the ACS box) on my 330xd and I'm over the moon with it!

Haven't noticed any changes to mpg yet either.

Ive heard lots of mixed stories for DTUK and some others. I still have my sights on the MPPK. Not too keen on piggy back setups.

I was unsure at first but after feedback from a number of members and conversations with dtuk I was sold. I looked into the mppk but the cost put me off and I don’t know how long I’ll keep the 430 for...

In the 5 or so months I had my Steinbauer box installed, my overall average MPG improved by about 0.4mpg. In the two weeks since taking it off the car, my mpg has dropped by 0.2mpg, perhaps as a result of me trying to compensate for the lost performance by giving it more gas everywhere! lol
