Tall drivers & the heads up display
I'm 6'4 and I feel as if everyone who designed the heads-up display system was short lol. I have a 2013 328i.
When my head is touching my headrest, I can only really see the bottom of the mph numbers. I have to sorta put my head forward or lean forward to see the whole display. (Example of only being able to see what is below the red line) I tried adjusting the position and settings of the display but it does not help. Any other tall drivers have this issue? |

I am not as tall, but I am 6'1" and i have it at the max height and sometimes the top is still cut off depending on how I am sitting.

(I put "optimal" in quotes because of course this is subjective, I'm just pointing out that the average driver tends to sit higher than professional drivers.) |

So everyone's replies caused me to second guess my settings and my seating position.
I just went out to my car and turns out I'm just dumb. My heads-up position was set to max height lol. Lowering it lets me see everything. The problem has been solved. thanks. |

I'd add that the head rest isn't really for resting your head - I'd imagine when you lean your head back - your eye line is shooting too high when your head is against the "rest".
You should feel comfortable with your head a few inches from the rest for all normal driving. It's there to help minimize whiplash or severe neck damage in crash I'm 6'4" and have no issues in a 3er with HUD or my X5.
