Need help ... with tire size

Thanks for replying
07 e90
Question is

Gunna run a 20x12 rear wheel
What would be a good tire size that would
Clear the wheel well from rear passenger door wheel well to front of the back bumper

Not looking for a crazy stretch tire
Trying to get the most tire height as possible

Did anyone ever run a 315/35rz20 ?

Widest you can get is 285/25-20. 20x10. Stock tires are 255/35-18. That's 25" in diameter. A 285/25-20 is 1.3" wider, 25.6" tall. You can fit it if you get a wheel thats just the right offset.

A 315/35-20 is 28.7" tall and 2 1/2" wider. I have 305/30-19 On mine, perfect offset, rolled fenders, stretched, barely fits. I have 19x11 et 43 wheels. A 12" wheel is 300 wide. Wont fit without super stretch and camber.

Besides, 20s look ridiculous on a e90 and you need rubber bands to make them fit. Handling sucks, they're heavy so slow, and expensive. Not to mention nobody has run over 305 without a widebody kit or m3.

He probably should have mentioned his car is a widebody. There's a thread somewhere.

That would make a difference but they're still too tall. A 315/25-20 would be 1.2" taller than oem and might squeeze into a widebody depending on how it was made. Thst would give 3.1" of sidewall. Stock is 3.5" with stock 18s.

Now i see it. By the way, yours is the only non m3 quarter widebody conversion I like. Try the 315/25-20. Measure the extra off what you have taking into account the offset you want. Need suitable fronts to match. 265/30-20 on 20x10 maybe?

It's
Width×profile×2÷25.4+wheel size= outer diameter
305×.3×2÷25.4+20=27.2. Max outer diameter should be low 26s on normal car. Stock is 25". I say no bueno.
