Apple Carplay Bug in 2017 M240

My Apple Carplay sometimes glitches when I start the car. The media connects to Carplay although I haven't selected it, and won't switch to other inputs. e.g. I switch to radio and it immediately switches back to Carplay. On Carplay it plays a second of a then then stops, and keeps on doing that every time I switch.

Any clues?

mines always crashes and restarts when using spotify on CarPlay. dunno whats with all these bugs!
