CIC / Nav Required for Bluetooth Pairing?

Sorry for the newb question...

I'm looking for a replacement E91. I want to retain the ability to pair my cell phone with the car. I also would like the next car to be as simple as possible, and have NO CIC / Nav display.

Does an E9X withOUT CIC / Nav have the ability to pair via Bluetooth?

Thanks a million!

You'll be able to use BT to make phone calls, but won't have streaming audio.

Thank you, Joe!

Streaming and music in general inside the car is less important since installing the 3" straight exhaust

At the same time, BT phone calls are a safety feature for me. BT without Nav / CIC is the ticket. Thanks for confirming!

You will need a TCU/MULF though. If it doesn't have those, they can be easily be retrofitted.
