Where do you get your tyres from / fitted?

So where do you all get your tyres from? Just had a quote from the dealers at £250 for one of my rears and I need two......

When I look at kwik-fit they are circa £70 cheaper but last time I used them they scratched my alloys.
This time my alloys are brand new after having them replaced under warranty so am a bit nervous about someone doing a lacklustre job.

Any suggestions?

I've debated paying more at the dealer vs doing it somewhere else. Paying more may be worth it for now for warranty purposes.

Take pictures of the alloys and ask kwikfit to confirm that they are damage free. Get the work done and any damage they take responsibility....

We used F1 Autocenters for our last set - price was really good in comparison to anywhere else. Lets just say, you get what you pay for..!!

150£ is not that much in the grand scheme of things they should be doing it correctly and if they screw up you're covered. Of course if you're talking about each tire and you're doing eventually all 4 then that's more money. If you know a good mechanic then maybe they can do it. I don't know I'm debating whether I should get my next tires done at the dealer it is somewhat more expensive.

I've used tyres on the drive the last time. Came to my work, checked the alloys with me before and after the work was done and checked the brake disc/pad thickness on the wheels where the tyres were being changed. Would use them again, but probably not the cheapest option. My rears will be due soon and they are approx £190 each. RFT's 19" 255/35s Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric.

I usually use Tyreleader to purchase the tyres and get them installed by a fitter I have been using for years.

I have black wheels and my guy will happily tape up the edges of my rims to make sure nothing gets scratched when changing rubber.

Never from a dealer ever.

Order the tyres after googling for the cheapest online and then get them delivered to a local tyre fitter.

Much cheaper.

Costco. They do Michelins for very competitive prices.

Have you asked your dealer for a discount? I've asked in the past and always managed to get them to reduce the price. Maybe they can reduce it to an amount you are willing to pay.

Changing my Bridgestones this week at 23k. Very good wear at the compromise of not the best grip. Goodyears going on so will see how they fair. Asda tyres believe it or not the cheapest I can find using F1 auto centres as a fitter

My Rears are on approx 3.5 mm so will be changing them before winter. I reckon by that time, they may have approx 29k on them. Current Eagle F1's seem to be wearing better than previous Bridgestones S001.

This is what I used to do but my local tyre place now charges £20 a wheel for fitting tyres you bring in yourself!

Ask your dealer to price match - mine did (Lloyd Newcastle) and that was using Oponeo pricing!
