245 will most likely rub in the front, if you have a lowered car.

Better off running 235 front 255/65 rear than trying to run 245 square

Depends on the offset. I have 245s up front and coils but is *barely* rubs the plastic liner when I turn close to full lock. Seriously, it's nothing. It's basically the clean spot on the liner, no worries at all.

Now, the previous person to mention 265s on the rear is right, also depending on offset. I have Apex 19x9.5 with 275s on the rear and if I hit a gnarly bump I hear a rub on my bumper. I've rolled the fender and have an extra degree of camber added, but as you know the rear bumper on an E90 starts pretty high up.

245s can rub since they're taller than the properly sized 255 (245/40 vs 255/35). My 255s don't even come close to rubbing up front. There's even a guy with 265s square on his LCI on here.

If you goal is to run 245/40-18 square, is there a specific reason you are choosing 9.5" wheels? A 9" wheel would better suit that size tire, and with the right offset it would be a bolt on fitment flush with the fenders.

In some circumstances the 245 tire is stretched enough on the 9.5" wheel to clear the outer fenders without modifications, however the tolerances are tight. Tire brand, suspension type and camber settings would all need to be discussed to get you the right info.

9.5" wheels up front often times require spacers for inner strut clearance, and negative camber to prevent rubbing the outer fenders. This application makes sense for hard core track enthusiasts looking to run 265 tires up front, but pose no advantage for 245's.

Hi Ryan, its Bobby!

I would much prefer a 9" square but there was a great deal nearby on CL for 9.5" square that I was contemplating.

I am going to stick with 9" with 245/40 square. Thanks for the info!
