Finally picking up my new car today!
Hi
After a very frustrating extended wait finally picking up my new car at the dealers this evening all being well! Anything i should be looking out for or check before signing and taking possession? At least the weather is fantastic so will get home and out and about showing off with it still sparkling! Lisa. |

Get them to promise, in writing, that the engine will work fine.......

Check the paintwork VERY closely.
More often that not dealers wash new cars with rocks during a PDI (or at least it certainly seems that way!) Look for circular swirl marks in the paintwork (the sun will help). Check for the torch in the glove box. And have a list of ALL your options ready to tick off (it's not the first time something major has been missed off). Just remember that no matter how "nice" the dealer has been up to now, you don't have to accept anything you're unhappy with. You're paying a LOT of money for something here and if you're not 100% satisfied, let them know!

Do I recall you saying you had ordered a 320D Editions M Sport ? If so can you post some pictures as I'm considering one and would like to see on in carbon black.

Check the exterior door handles close properly when released - try them several times - a common fault this one but BMW may have fixed newer models
Check the torch is in the glove compartment Check you get three keys (two big keys and a flimsy plastic one)

Glad you're finally getting it. It's probably too late to give you advice today at, oh, quarter past midnight so I won't. Hope it was delivered without issue, though.
