F80 M3 exhaust on a F31 330xd?

Anyone have any idea if it's possible/practical to fit a F80 M3 exhaust to a F31 330xd?

From my brief looking, the fuel tanks are different between petrol and diesel, which means that would probably need to change to fit it. Plus the 330 has a single pipe from the engine, M3 has dual.

Thinking it would be easier to just fit the back box but then it is actually worth it? Would then want to wire in the valve control on the back, of course! Then you need a different diffuser, don't know if the mounting brackets are the same etc.

Thoughts very much appreciated.

With fabrication yes you probably can swap the exhausts, however you do know it won't make the car sound like an M3 don't you?

Would look a bit daft to me. why not fit 340 type pipes if you don't like the current ones.

Absolutely. More to do it for the fun of it rather than anything else.

Like the look of the quad exhausts. Don’t worry, there is precisely zero danger of a ///M badge appearing on the back!

Alpina D3 has quad exhausts too and that's a diesel. Would these be easier to fit?
