I'm glad they ditched the headlights being connected to the kidneys. It works on the 3er and 5er, but on larger models it looks forced and stupid. See the 7-series for further proof.

Decent review. I'd like to hear ones where people get to drive them!
Also, given what the product manager said, besides the M model, what else could be in the works? X3 M CS?

Agreed. Should be an interesting car. BMW does a great job with the x5/6M so I assume they'll do even better with a lighter, smaller chassis.

Isn't the X3M the baby M? In which I mean X3 M40i?

Or am I mistaken on that?

Yes bring on the true X3M; it'll likely be my next acquisition; downgrading from X5M next time.

The X3 xDrive M40i will be a car that isn't a full fledged M car, but has some M parts. There will be a full blown M car from the M division coming soon.

I love M cars, I've been blessed to own E46 and E92 M3's.

I totally get the anticipation for an X3M.

For me? The M40i will have plenty of everyday giddy-up and visceral experience.

Very much looking forward to getting behind the wheel of one this Fall.

So, the G01 is actually bigger inside than the original X5, the excellent E53, intresting.

I'm confused by the air curtain, is it functional on the luxury line, and not the M version?
Decent looking the Luxury line as well i think, a huge leap forward from the F25, the G01 will do excellent i think.

I thought so, but the designer himself said that it's just a design feature.

I am really into this car. It really looks like an amazing product. i just feel it's hard to buy new tho, since hybrid/electric cars are coming out faster than I thought they would; Volvo will be all hybrid in 2 yrs, audi's etron division is getting serious, etc. I feel like you will have the car for two years and then youre gonna get pulled into electric/hybrid cars. and this car is gonna hit over 50k. decisions decisions

but nonetheless this is a proper built car. well done bmw
