Who adheres to the cure times?

Sealants and waxes both need time to cure. Just wondering how many people actually stick to the directions. I, for one, don't have the time to let the car sit and cure, so I just slap the sealant on and then the wax right after. Am I wasting the products I'm using by doing this?

you aren't wasting them, just not taking them to their full potential!

There is a diminishing rewards situation. I let me sealants cure overnight before I top them but waiting a few hours is fine.

We are talking about extracting the nth percentage from them. Some of us are just detail geeks.

i follow the directions and sometimes extend beyond what they say. mostly b/c i'm more concerned about wasting my time and effort, wasting a few dollars in extra product is no big deal.

This is what works best for me, end your detail with the sealant and follow up with a wash and wax a week later. This way it's all the more enjoyable to do that next wash as you get a chance to add more depth and gloss to your paint with the wax. It also means you don't have to worry about not driving your vehicle, garaging it, etc. after a fresh detail.

Good advice. I should have thought of this.
