Full writeup coming next week but fabricated an iPad mini mount out of some iPhone holders and an iPad case. Great for split screen w Waze and Torque Pro. Easy in and out of car nothing permanent.

Dang, dude! That iPad mini looks like it fits really well in that space!

It's actually perfect, I would not change the size at all. Will post some pics and write-up when I have time but I did not want to buy a dedicated in-car iPad. I also did not want to alter the car in any way whatsoever. I only plan to use this on rare occasion but when it's there I wanted it to look good, be VERY stable and secure, and go in and out very quickly.

Basically I made some very slight modification to two Belkin iPhone cup holder mounts and glued them to the back of a Speck iPad shell. So the iPad ends up anchored to both cup holders, can tilt up and down and is quite solid. To remove you twist the dial on the Belkin and the whole thing just pops out.

That's OBDFusion, right? I didn't think Torque Pro was available for iOS?

Yep OBD Fusion - not sure why I thought it was torque pro. I actually think I searched for torque pro on the App Store and that's what popped up.
