Dinan va Ohlins
Hey guys! Does anyone have hands on experience with -- Dinan suspension plus dinan tension strut ball kit, rear link kit vs Ohlins?? Should one get ohlins plus dinan strut kit and rear link kit? The dinan s2 review said the suspension is a bit softer .. most ohlin reviews say "best suspension ever"...anyone have any experience comparing both?

Interested in this as well. Anyone able to chime in? Even if it's not a comparison, an actual review of the product you're using would be awesome.

Dinan is only a height adjustable spring kit, it's no comparison to the Ohlins R&T. The damping capabilities of the Ohlins R&T dampers can't be matched by the OEM. Ohlins has the W on this one.
A quick search should result in a few reviews although a couple of dozen kits have been sold so far(most people aren't forum posters). |

We just wrapped up an M2 with the Ohlins R&T's coupled with the Dinan toe arm kit, Dinan sway bar kit and Dinan Monoball kit. The Dinan sway bar end links won't work with the Ohlins kit as they are too long-we went with Fall Line Motorsports end links to remedy that issue. Couple that with a front adjustable camber kit and its a perfect match. You really IMO can't compare a sleeve kit vs a full coil over kit.

Did the owner opt to keep the recommended spring rates from Ohlin?

We went with the springs rates and height recommended by Ohlins for now. It rides great! I need to stiffen it up a bit more for my customer on the track to get the settings just right but the quality is certainly there for sure!

Also depends on your specific goals.
I went with Dinan bc they have the softest coil over setup for daily driving, and I didn't want to start playing with damper settings at the track while I'm still learning the car and stickier tires, and am focused on seat time. Very nice ride around town and much flatter at the track. These combined with corner balance and track alignment had me running 2:13s on my first weekend at Watkins Glen. |

Good to hear someone likes how the R&T rides right out of the box! Most street guys want to go softer to further improve the ride quality.
