Headlight surround blackout?

I have a '17 M240i in Mineral Grey and I ordered as much black on the outside as I could and replaced the ugly bumper reflectors and stupid silver mirror caps with body color painted ones from IND.

It's a properly stealthy looking car now except for the really shiny headlight surrounds.

The shiny surfaces in there, especially the eyebrow strip at the top, serve no lighting function, since the headlights are projectors. I'd love to darken that up somehow.

Is there a vendor that offers dark headlight surrounds for our cars, or has anyone tried dismantling the headlight surround assembly for a DIY solution?

I think this is something one of Icy J friends with the MR 235i has done? I'm also interested.

Saw a thread in the M3 or M4 forum where someone removed and painted them. It looked pretty good.

Thanks, I found this thread in the M3/M4 forum, a company in NYC does it for those models. It sounds like they are quite difficult to dismantle, not an easy DIY project. I am talking to them now about doing 2 series headlights too.

They say they can do it. $950 + shipping if I send them my lights, 4-5 business day turnaround. I will probably do it, but need to figure out when I can have my car down for a few weeks...
