Engine vibes at 1500rpm?
Hi
I have an 08 E92 325i auto (N53 motor) which has covered 1400 miles. I was expecting this engine to be very smooth but I am often getting vibration through the steering wheel at around 1500rpm up to 2000rpm. At engine speeds above this it is fine. I will probably take it back to the dealer but I am interested to know if anyone else has experienced this. Peter |

My father in law has a 2008 325i ed e90 auto ,His wasnt feeling quite right and went in to safety mode ?? due to a camshaft position sensor failing. He said it was lumpy and down on power?? also it was recalled for some software upgrade due to fuel pump pressure issues or injector related issues .Maybe its something similar anyway good luck
Btw his first problem was at 1k miles the software issue at 2k miles hes now at 3k and i think by what he said today the car has settled down and is well pleased with it |

Unless something has changed ... all the BMW 6 cylinder petrols should be smooth as silk at any RPM, my 330 is like a little humming bundle of joy, never feel it at any RPM - just hear it when pushed.
