General G-Max AS-05?
Other then press reviews and a couple of employee reviews on tire rack, has anyone heard how these new GMax AS-05 compare to his parent's DWS06 tires?
I'm getting ready to order some 17" rims and tires and was originally going to go with the DWS06, but the pricing made me look... And the tread pattern makes me think it's performance might be similar to the DWS06... especially since it's Continental's son's tire.

Overall, the AS-05 is simply among the best in class for UHP AS tires. We expect it to compete favorably against the likes of the Michelin AS3 Plus, Continental DWS06 and others as top dog in this category. Highly recommended.

Had experience with a set of the generals AS-03 on my g37s a few years back. Great set of all season tires (switched from summer performance), stable in rain and snow, wildly more affordable. Tire tread is different, but if these are replacing the AS-03 they should hopefully be on par.

I went ahead and ordered a set of 17"wheels and the G-Max 05's. At $86 a tire and getting $70 rebate for buying a set, I couldn't pass it up... I'll run the MPSS I have till the end of summer then switch over..
