Is it possible to add music to CIC over Ethernet?

Now that I can finally talk to my cic over ethernet, I'm wondering if it's possible to add music this way?

According to what I've read online, the music library is located in /mnt/hbmedia/entertainment server. I haven't looked in this yet, it was late last night, but could I in theory just drag and drop my MP3 files onto there? Or does the cic encode them differently when they are imported?

They are encoded differently.

On one of the other forums someone wrote a python script to alter the encoding of MP3 files to make them compatible.

They found that id3 information was not retained and ultimately the whole thing was not worth the effort for the results.

You are better off buying a 128gigabyte Micro USB key, uploading your MP3 files to it, and plugging it into your center console. That is what I do.

Others have plugged external USB hard drives to the cd changer interface in the boot/trunk and done it that way instead.

Ok, thanks for the info, not worth bothering with then!
