Low target boost low WGDC

Hello,
Finally got write permissions on here. I bought a 2008 335i A/T with 85K a couple of months ago and recently got it running right (or so I thought). Did plugs (bosche), coils on bank 1(still getting intermittent misfire codes for cyl 1), oil, walnut blast, all new vaccum lines, new vaccum canisters, , new boost solenoids, HPFP, DCI, capped the recirculation lines from stock diverter valves, jb3 (outdated I know but I got a great deal on it and wanted to try it out while I decided on which tune to go with, have since decided on MHD).
On my way home 2 days ago i had a diverter valve pop loose and it looks like i may not have locked the collar all the way down. So with that said, I switch to android, downloaded MHD app, purchased the monitor module only (suspected something was wrong) and started running some logs. Even on map 3 my target boost is about 7.5psi and I'm getting timing drops all over. I'm wondering if someone can help me understand a couple of things or answer a few of questions:

1. Why would target boost be low? I imagine if something was wrong like a boost leak I would have the target at 12-14psi and I would just not be hitting target

2. Is there any correlation between my wgdc being so low and not boosting even to stock numbers? It seems that low wgdc is ideal, however when not boosting above stock it seems problematic.

3. What would cause the timing drops? I understand I am running ACN91 but I only run chevron in all of my vehicles so that leads me to believe it's not due to fuel quality.

I am new to the datazap thing and new to forums in general so I am a bit unsure of how to include them or if I am even able to with a new account so I have c/p'd the link in hopes that will work. I've read through as many threads as I could and have looked at other members logs but am stumped. If anyone could help me out when they have a spare moment I would really appreciate it! Really excited to start with full stage 1-2 but I want to make sure my car is healthy before I move forward.

If I were you, I would post in the N54 Turbo engine modification subforum, I'm sure you will get more answers

Did you uninstall jb3?

With jb3/4 and without a flash, the ecu will *think* it's seeing stock boost levels even though it's not.

Logging with jb4 will tell you the true boost. I don't think you can log with jb3 anymore, unless you can find the software..

Is there a way I can move the post? Feeling kinda slow for not noticing that.

I did not uninstall the jb3 yet because I'm not flashing a map. I am only using the monitor module via MHD. I'm thinking I may just pull the jb3 and flash a stage 1 map through MHD and see what happens. I'm just a bit worried that I have stumbled onto a problem and don't want to make it worse.

Remove jb3, that can do more harm than good. Flash mhd stage 1 and report back. I'd be willing to bet it'll look normal.

You won't damage anything, these ECUs and engines are extremely intelligent.

Will do. I'll remove it tomorrow after work and run logs the following morning. Thanks for your response I will report back with how it goes.

So I pulled the jb3, flashed MHD Stage 1 (ACN91) and ran a new log this morning. Still getting timing pulls mostly in bank 1. Significantly less than with the jb3 but I'm still thinking it's a cause for concern. Also, I want to note that I ordered a charge pipe / bov that should be here later this week because I suspect I have a leak at a diverter valve or the throttle body / charge pipe connection.

Does this log look bad?

The timing corrections under spool are interesting, could be due to ultra crappy ACN 91. Do a log from 2k-6k in 3rd gear and post back.

Why would you suspect you have a leaky dv? Spool looks fine and you're pretty close to target.

I'm hoping it's just fuel I just put a fresh tank in from another gas station. Maybe after more miles on this tank and fresh flash it may level out? Not too keen on the timing thing unfortunately. Should I have reset adaptations going from piggy back to flash tune?

I had a diverter valve blow out of the stock pipe a couple weeks ago. I suspect I may not have locked it in all the way the day before but I'm not sure. It's locked in and hasn't blown out since, however, the collar doesn't sit all the way down now, there's a couple millimeter gap so the two don't look the same. Given that I'm increasing boost and had that scare I figured it wouldn't hurt to replace it anyways. I also get a bit of a whistle-like sound under load sometimes like there is an air leak. Definitely different than the DCI sound. Pipe and BOV should be here Thursday hopefully.

So I got a log from about 2k-6k in third. Still getting timing pulls in the beginning of the pull and now towards the top. What is the tolerance on timing pulls? The car definitely feels much stronger and smoother with the flash, am I just reading too much into this or are these numbers something to be concerned about?
