ac issue, driver side warm, passenger side kind of cool???

As stated in title, my ac isn't working 100% driver side is blowing ambient temperature, and passenger side is only some what cool, still not cool enough, even on max cool (90's+ this week). and yes dumby dial is set on cool. Read up on some forum, all they did was have a recharge and all was good, somebody told somebody try bleeding the coolant system???

That's usually a symptom of low refrigerant. If you have a slow leak, an inexpensive ($25-35) recharge kit with leak stop from Walmart or your local auto parts store may be all you need.

Yes, typically happens from low refrigerant. The evaporator is on the passenger side of the car so the air stays colder over there but warms up by the time it makes it out the driver's side.

Evaporator leaks are fairly common on the E90. They're usually slow enough you can just get it recharged and not have a problem.

I'd recommend not doing it yourself with the DIY kits, if possible. Since it's actually blowing warm it's probably lost a decent amount of refrigerant, and it's really hard to refill yourself due to the variable-displacement compressor that the E90 has. I've found that the pressure readings don't seem to behave the same way as a normal compressor, so it can be really hard to do it without overfilling it.

not to hijack the post. I have always think that my ac is not cold enough, although it is not blowing warm air. At max settings, its blowing 60F. Is that normal? I research and see that ppl say it should be around 40-50F.
I am also deciding on using those recharge kit or not as I read a lot of mixed reviews.......

i've had this issue for 2 years or so, just use a recharge kit, should last you through the summer. the climate control system in general in these cars is crap, even when it's working properly i can hardly even feel the air hitting my face on full blast.

I ended up doing just that, I was going to take it to my friend at sears auto center, I had some left over ac pro, and gave it a shot, and it has worked the last week.

our cars show 60f, but with a recharge we can see as low as 40f, even though our system shows 60f

I was looking for a can of r134a on amazon, but they said they don't ship to california due to the new law.......

Good o'l cali lol, ya just get it at walmart, or autozone, ac-pro is the best.

Same thing happened to me. Bought a $30 kit and did a recharge. Didn't have any problems at all and air blows 42 degrees. There are a couple how-to videos on doing this but it's pretty simple. Access is easy. I charge once a year and it lasts through until next season. Better than the $2500 to pull the dash and fix the leak.

I just purchased the acpro kit on walmart. Hope everything goes well.

How much r134a did you put in?
