yellow coolant temp light for 1 second then gone

Hey guys so yesterday I was in traffic in my 335i 140k miles for about 5 mins and a yellow coolant temp light came on for like 1 second then disappeared. The fans were not going crazy or anything like that so I assumed the water pump didn't go out. It was like 91F and my oil temp was chilling at 242F. Should I be worried or not? I've searched a bunch and did not find anyone with the same problem with me. Could this be an indication my water pump is about to go out? Should I put my JB4 in max cool mode when in traffic?

First thing I would do is check for codes.

Mine did this, turned out the waterpump had a crack in it and was leaking coolant slowly. Didnt show any codes at all when i scaned, i only realised when i removed the under tray and i got a big puddle of coolant spill out.

If no codes are thrown take the undertray off and check for leaks. if there si nothing visable top up the coolant and leave it sitting there and check again. when i filled mine up i worked out very quickly where it was leaking from.

This may sound weird but I had a similar situation and it ended up being a bad battery of all things. I would check that first (cheapest option)

Could be a glitch. But oil temp seems normal and the poster above me mentioned it could be a battery issue. These cars do some weird things when the batteries start going (clock won't keep time, random codes, mirrors changing position as well as seats etc)

I'd pull codes to make sure though.
