Sun Roof problem!

So after buying my 335i, I've noticed that to sun roof doesn't look right. It seems to be a little low and not flush. Driving around you can sometimes hear air wizz in...... idk if this is normal. If not then what am I doing wrong, or is this some sort of mechanical problem? Thx

Just recalibrate it, start the car and push and hold up the sunroof button for about 1 min and it will calibrate itself.

Oh okay sweet, about to try that. I had to replace the drivers side window. Should I do that also because it doesn't go up all the way(1/2 centi) from fully closing

With the door closed, roll the window all the way down, then back up. It might take a few times to work. I had to do this after replacing my battery.

Would you happen to know why sunroof takes 3ish tries to get it to close? It closes about three-quarters of the way this has to open itself back up.. very rarely does it close all the way and mind you, I will even hold the button to close it..

Do the same thing. I had this issue also re-calibrated it and problem went away.

I tried the recalibration process but it didn't work, once i took out the glass roof I could see the problem, broken plastic bits on the multi-hinged mechansim that slides on the rail.

I wonder if it's UV damage.

they get brittle over time... probably UV or chemical gas out from the part.
inferior material imho.

those bits can and will cause alignment issues if left in the track, causing the motor to stop and open the sunroof again.

Also, be sure the sunroof is clicked into its mounts securely.
