Bilstein pss10
I took the plunge and fitted b16 pss10 komfort a couple of weeks ago.
My f31 suspension adventure to date : stock edc edc with acs springs Bilstein b6 with acs springs Bilstein b6 with stock springs. ie the se springs Bilstein b16 pss10 Going from b6 to b16 id say the change wasn't as dramatic as from the stock edc dampers to b6, but have to say the b16's are superb and really do stamp there authority over the b6 . I'm still playing around with damper settings and ride height, ive tried most setting up to 7 from 1 to 10, 1 being quite loose 10 being very stiff, as with the b6, quality dampers emphasise how good the chassis is when the stock dampers are taken away from the equation. the ride really starts stiffening up at no 7 and feels great for b road blasts but probably a little too stiff for dd'ing. Currently on 3 front and 4 rear. Ive had the mp large brake parts waiting to be fitted for a while now, and found with the b16's fitted uprated brakes seemed to be needed more than ever so have now fitted the 370 front discs and calipers all coded up and working very nicely. Not many negatives to speak of with these b16's, one obvious neg is adjusting the ride height on the rear is a pain, as you cant get the adjusting spanner on the collars, id suggest starting too high as its easier to lower than raise. didn't want any major drops , hence why I decided on the komfort kit, I'm currently lowered 15-20mm |

R330dx has this "suspension adventure" all been on the same car?
If so, how did you deal with the EDC when fitting the B16's? I understand you can code out EDC and unplug the module, but it's been suggested the ride height sensors don't get deleted, and are required for the x drive? I didn't think the B16's had the correct brackets. |

Interested to hear more about your suspension journey as I too went on one, firstly starting with ACS springs, then a few different ARB set ups and then eventually ACS RS coilovers.
Sorting the dampers is the key to sorting the F30 cars so a little surprised that you felt the need to improve from the B6s. And we need pics of the full car!

There aren't any ride height sensors for edc xdrive, I'm guessing you mean the front accelerometers attached to each damper, I just drilled out the 2 spot welds holding the accel bkt onto the edc dampers and reused the bkt onto the passive b6 and now b16, very easily sorted. |

The b6 with acs works very well with shortened front bilstein bump stops and shorter rear stops, I used m3 rear stops. The stock front and rear bump stops made for quite a bumpy ride on anything other than smooth roads, which are few and far between as we all know. I just felt the need for some ride height and damper adjustibility to get things just so. Wouldn't really recommend the b6 with stock springs, even though it's still an improvement over stock damper/Spring setup. The b6 with acs and bump stop tweeks offers very good value for money improvements. It's done nothing but rain since fitting the b16's. Will put a pic up when it stops and can give her a clean. |

Yeah, those, there's not a great deal of clear info as to what the sensors actually are. Ride height sensors or accelerometers or whatever. Even less info as to what they do or how they relate to s-drive in lieu of x-drive. |

My understanding is they are G sensors measuring accel/motion in damper movement to control the vss. Unless somone knows better.

What kind of money did you pay for the b6 and bump stop upgrades? I've got the ACS springs and wondering if it's worth investing in b6's to be fitted at the same time.

Looks ideal to me. Mine sits lower at the rear, and probs a little too low for how I like a car to look. Not enough to for me to bother doing anything about it though!
