Finance quote/help
So I'm looking at either the 430d xdrive grancoupe or the 435d variant
And the quote BMW have given me doesn't look right compared to trl but I've asked BMW and they say they're correct Trl: First thing i did was run the original spec 430d x through in order to check that i am cheaper than you other quotes. the original price of £51500 would have come out at £43,675 OTR through me as a cash price. And if you then finance that spec we add a further £1250 to your deposit so you get that off as well. As you had then added 3 further items, this is how it works out on the 430d xdrive with TV, adaptive cruise and Heated Steering wheel. List price £53100 We can do that for £44,960. BMW then contribute £1250 toward your finance so you are paying £43710 in effect. With a deposit from you of £13,970 the payments are then 47 x £325 plus GFV £17182. based on 10K miles pa. the same spec as a 435d xdrive GC comes out at £56,495 OTR we then take that down to £47,140 OTR BMW contribute £1750 towards your finance so you are paying £45390 in effect. Only £1600 more than the 430d. With a deposit from you of £14,208 the payments are then 47 x £325 plus GFV £18,800. based on 10K miles pa APR 2.9% And BMW: Hi Lee The 430d xdrive grancoupe at an offer £46,665 The GFV at 10,000 miles per annum over 4 years is £13,877 BMW Contract purchase at 2.9% APR £9,000 deposit would result in the payment of £325.00 per month x 47. Regards Mathew So my question is trl are offering the car 3k cheaper than my local BMW why do I need to put down a bigger deposit for the same payments but they have a lot higher gmfv This is only my second ever car on finance I've had company cars before so it's all new but one of the quotes seems wrong, so can I ask your advice Thanks in advance |

Even using a few of the car finance calculators about, BMW's offer doesn't add up coming out at a monthly rate of 559.02.
Whereas TRL's seems a lot closer and more reasonable at 346.54 using the same calculator. So something is a bit off on BMW's end. You are borrowing more essentially, with a smaller balloon payment but paying the same monthly? mathematically that doesn't add up. Last edited by Kyuuseishu; 05-16-2017 at 01:34 PM.. |

That's with 11k of options even a 440i comes out at 46k
The 440 would use too much though hence why I'm looking at the diesel although there's a lot of hate for diesel at the mo so I'm actually wondering about actual value at the end of term |

BMW's numbers are definitely wrong...The deposit, payments and GFV should exceed the price you are getting the car for, that difference being the interest you're paying to finance.
By my calcs, BMW are £8,513 short, plus interest on their deal meaning you are getting the car for £38,512 |

Fook me mate that's some spec to be at that figure on a 430d Calculating out TRL's quote, it equates to £324.50 - so his "£325" is near enough. I would question the GFV though as this seems rather high. Speccing a 430d to that figure of £53.1k the GFV is £16.1k (according the BMW configurator) not the £17.1 TRL says. The BMW dealer quote is just completely wrong on all points....... EDIT: Just to add to this. Depreciation over 4 years on the 4 series is around 70% so your £53100 would have a GFV of £15930. This is a more realistic GFV figure. If you're keeping the car past the final payment then fine but apart from that you will be in negative equity all the way through if your circumstances were to change and you needed out. .

my golf gti averages 27-30mpg or best was 50mpg on a run over 140miles at 55mph lol, I'd prefer to be around 40mpg around town and 50-60 on a run I don't think the 440 would do that, would it

but neither would a 330d or a 335d I don't think. A 320d yes, but 6 cylinders in town are all a bit pap on fuel.

No chance. My 335d did 30 ish around town and maybe 45 on a very steady motorway run. Good fgures for the performance but the petrol b58 is so much more enjoyable.

I hear ppl getting good numbers on the 330d though and the 330d I drove for an hour I got 49mpg on a 1hr test drive
95% of the time I drive very eco as my licence is important for all the travelling so I'm usually on the motorway doing 55-60 occasionally when I get to the decent roads where I know there's no risk of police I get on with it but those speed camera vans are usually everywhere nowadays |

Are you sure you want to stick down such a big deposit on a PCP?
You do know you will never see that cash again, and at end of term you won't have a car, or any deposit to put into the next one?

Can I have your opinion on the deal I got please?
I got a new F30 340i M Sport in Estoril Blue with M Sport Plus, Reverse Camera, Extended Storage Pack, Professional Nav for £465 P/M with a deposit of £4k. That's directly from BMW main dealer Thoughts? |
