interior trunk release issues

Hey guys! I've had my e90 328xi for about 10 months now and all of the sudden the trunk release button inside next to my left leg does not work anymore. Did a fuse pop or is there something I'm not doing properly? Please let me know if you know what the issue is.

Check the position of the valet switch in the glove box.

Does the button on the trunk lid still open it?

I checked that and it is on the unlocked side and still does not work, and the trunk lid opens from outside and from remote.
