Pressure washed my HID kit

I have aftermarket U Ring halo headlamps by Depo on my E90. I installed an aftermarket HID kit with cancellers and they have been working flawlessly ever since.

Yesterday I pressure washed my car and got water on to the DRIVERS side HID ballast and immediately turned on the headlamps without realising it was wet when I drove off.

Well you guessed it, the wiring was toast. Bulb gone as well.

Now I have a brand new kit on that side and despite using a canceller (not the same brand as the HID cancellers I had before). The drivers side HID bulb flickers on, and then switches off within a minute.

However, it stays on when the engine isn't running.

What could it be ? a crappy HID canceller ? (just ordered another brand).

Or something else ? If it was a fuse surely the light wouldn't turn on at all right ?
