iPhone 6 & Music issue
2015 m235i with Enhanced BT option
When connecting my iphone 6 via bluetooth, in iDrive and browsing through the music stored on the phone: Select Playlists, then select a specific playlist, then select a song, that song doesn't play - some other song starts playing. Similarly, when I use iDrive to go to Next Track, it shows some specific song. If I then depress the iDrive knob to go to that track, it goes to some completely different song. If a playlist has, say, 50 songs in it, it only seems to play 2 or 3 songs from that playlist, over and over. I've become sick of certain songs :{ Anyone know the issue?

I have no issues whatsoever with iPhone 7 and latest iOS. Make sure you have the latest iOS and un-pair/re-pair the phone. Alternatively uncheck Bluetooth in iDrive and then activate it again. Sometimes it needs a refresh. If that does not help, reboot your iDrive and start over again.

I would not do a battery disconnect because that may cause all kind of other things. If pair/unpair and a hard reset of the iDrive (push/hold volume button until it reboots) does not do anything, I would bring it in to have it checked.

I'll note that Deutsche is not the OP (me). I haven't tried the unpair/re-pair or iDrive reset yet so can't report back. I have the latest iOS. My phone is an iPhone 6.
Deutsche, did you post in the wrong thread or is the same thing happening to you? If the latter, what iPhone do you have?

I do not have the issue of the same few tracks replaying, but I definitely have the issue of getting a different track when selecting a track via the steering wheel scroll wheel. This happens when I have a playlist on shuffle on the iPhone. The fix, for me, is to select a new playlist from the car and enable random from the car. Sometimes I need to kill Music on the phone and start from the beginning using only the idrive interface.

Yes, I was having the exact same issues and it degraded into not working at all.. iPhone 7 running 10.3.2. Tried all of the usual fixes, etc.. I hope you got your issues straightened out.. Sorry again for jumping in, I'm looking everywhere for a possible solution.. |

No problem, I unpaired and re-paired and am still having the same problem. Additionally, every time I start the car it starts playing the very first song on my iPhone, even if I was recently playing a different song, or using Pandora. This is starting to get annoying. My 328 wouldn't do this, it would remember that I was using Pandora last.
