335is cxracing intercooler

hello bmw family.
has anyone ever installed a cxracing intercooler kit on their 335is? I read somewhere here, that the radiator was an issue on the is model but I can't seem to find it no more. I want to make sure it fits before I order it.

I would highly recommend the VRSF line of intercoolers, they are proven to work really well.

I know they do but I also want my intercooler to be exposed and with the vrsf it barely shows.

Functionality over form my friend.

Go 5inch for street use. 7inch for track.

My son bought a CRX racing FMIC. I did the install. Had to do a lot of cutting, trimming and fabricating to make it work. Specifically, had to trim a lot of the front shroud. I also had to order a 30 degree silicone tube and reverse the tube to the intake to make it work.

On our other 335i we just went with the VRSF FMIC. Way easier to install. Unless you like a challenge go with the VRSF.

Physics.

Big Tom/CX Racing-style intercoolers aren't necessarily choosing "form over function"; in fact, I'd advocate exactly the opposite.

Instead, you should ask yourself how difficult you want the install to be.

I wonder if anyone has painted their intercooler black before.

Black attracts heat. Would make for an effective intercooler.

bruh...watch this and stop spreading your ignorance, at least for a couple of days until the next opportunity to tell us about secondary cat deletes and 5W40 oil.
