Take a look at the Apex Race Parts website. They have E90 wheels offered in several diameters, offsets, and widths. They are all lighter than OEM and built to clear big brakes. You have to go 9" wide to get the best looking ones, which is very close to the springs and struts, and they are flush with the fender edges, but they say it will fit. I like the 17x9 ET30 in the ARC 8. 17" tires are favored for track events and they have the largest sidewall for surviving potholes around the bad highways we have around here.

They also have a beautiful new 18" wheel in the FL-5 wheel. I am not ready to go 18", but that is a beautiful wheel with even lighter weight and more brake clearance than the popular ARC 8.

Apex wheels also accept BMW center caps, a big bonus.

Look into style 269. Not the most aggressive offset but very nice looking rims

I'm looking at getting the APEX ET30 like the other poster recommended, looks very nice and relatively affordable.

They are nearly 30lbs a piece, I would look at any number of other wheels that come in at less than 2/3 that weight. Your braking distance, handling and acceleration will thank you.

There are many options that weigh in at 17 lbs. for not a lot of money. Some are actually good wheels, like Enkei and BBS.

On my e91 I have 22mm spacers all the way around and have no rubbing on my winter Conti's or the summer Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Spec's. You can get pretty aggressive on the offsets.

This is a pic of a fellow member's ride with those Rowhe wheels. Can't remember his handle, but saw it way back when.
