F30 330d LCI Rear Brake Pad Wear
Hello All,
Has anyone had to replace the pads on the rear disks yet. My 330d is coming up to 24K miles and the services indicator is saying my rear pads need replacing in 4K miles. I am a bit concerned as they usually last a lot longer? Cheers, Gary. |

It's the system 'guesstimating' the wear rates.
When it says they're due, take it in and ask for them to be inspected : If plenty of wear then the dealer will just add another 10k miles (or more) onto the OBC indicator. My car is now on 44k miles. MSport brakes, still on the original pads front and rear. |

Standard timing is in or around 30k
Doesn't mean jack though, just worth getting them inspected

It depends on how much you brake. If you do (unlikely) 30,000 miles without braking then you'll still have the same meat on the brakes you started with.
